Before your first visit

Four things that make the first visit easy.

Every plan starts with an ultrasound and a conversation with the physician.

  1. Step 01

Call the office closest to you

Our own staff answers the phone during office hours. No call center.

  2. Step 02

    Benefits checked first

Your benefits are verified by a person before anything is scheduled.

  3. Step 03

    Dress for the ultrasound

Wear loose clothing or shorts. Skip lotion on your legs that day. If you wear compression stockings, bring them so we can check the fit.

  4. Step 04

    Bring your referral

Referred by your podiatrist? Bring the referral and any notes, and we send a written report back to your referring doctor.

Questions

Questions about our offices.

Still not sure which office to choose? Call either one and our staff will help.

Do both offices offer the same treatments?

Yes. Both offices offer the same in-office treatments and the same insurance handling, and every plan starts with an in-office ultrasound.

Which physician will I see?

Dr. Thomas Drost sees patients at our Oak Park office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Dr. Kristen Hayes sees patients at our Wilmette office every Thursday. The physician who evaluates you is the physician who treats you.

Is the Wilmette office open every day?

No. Patients are seen in Wilmette on Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can call (847) 256-8600 any weekday to book.

Where do I park?

In Oak Park there are several free options: the lot attached to the building, a four-level parking structure, free valet parking, and the lot across from Rush Oak Park Hospital. In Wilmette, the building has a large parking lot.

Can I get there by train?

The Oak Park office is about a 12-minute walk (half a mile) from the CTA Blue Line Harlem station, and about a 15-minute walk from the CTA Green Line Harlem/Lake terminal.

Do I need a referral?

Most insurance plans do not require a referral to see us, though some HMO plans do. Call the office with your plan name and we will tell you.

How do I book?

Call the office closest to you. Our own staff will find you a time, verify your benefits, and confirm the appointment with you by phone.
